LINDA RONSTADT, 74 YEARS OLD

Remember the classic hit Blue Bayou? You will never get to hear this excellent piece if not for Linda Ronstadt. The now-74-year-old singer had made a lot of timeless classics in the early ‘70s. She gets the credit for recording in different genres, from rock to country to light opera to even Latin. Linda can do it all.

This, of course, will never go by without a number of awards and nominations. Several of her 24 successful albums have been certified gold, platinum, or multiplatinum. That’s how successful and famous she is back then. Linda, however, took a step back after feeling her singing voice was deteriorating in 2000. She dropped her last full album in 2004 and held her final stage performance in 2009. Linda eventually announced her retirement from singing in 2011. She, anyhow, continuously made public appearances and even published her autobiography.
