Glynis Johns, 96 Years Old

The British actress Glynis Johns enjoyed a good life during her prime, especially since she is considered one of the top actresses of her generation. Johns was a prominent figure on-stage and on-screen. She not only exhibited a great deal of talent as an actress but also showed tremendous star power with her stunning voice. She was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress for her work in the 1960 film The Sundowners and, upon the death of Olivia de Havilland in 2020, became the oldest living Academy Award nominee in an acting category.

She is one of the last surviving stars from the Golden Age of Hollywood cinema. She is known for the breathy quality of her husky voice and her upbeat persona. Johns has been living privately since her retirement in the late ‘90s but we sense that she has a pretty good grasp of proper money management since she was never involved in any financial trouble.
