KRISTY MCNICHOL, 59 YEARS OLD

Christina Ann McNichol is a retired actress, comedian, producer, and singer from the United States. The actress became prominent for her roles as Angel in the 1980 comedy-drama film Little Darlings, as well as Polly in the comedy-drama film Only When I Laugh a year later. Alongside her film appearances, she is also known for her role as Barbara Weston in the long-running 1988 NBC sitcom, Empty Nest. The show, during its peak, was one of the USA’s top 10 most-watched programs, which was helped due to it being the spin-off of Golden Girls, a multiple-Emmy winning sitcom.

The actress would later be diagnosed with bipolar disorder, which influenced her to leave the show in 1992. However, she would later reprise her role as Barbara Weston in the show’s final episode in 1995. Since then, the now-58-year-old actress retired from acting and mostly spent her time in activities such as yoga and tennis.
