KATARINA WITT, 55 YEARS OLD
Katarina Witt used to be the queen of figure skaters in Germany in the 1980s. She won two Olympic gold medals for East Germany and even became the four-time World Champion. She even got credits for being the two-time World silver medallist and won six European Championships consecutively, from 1983 to 1988. With these records and more, she became one of the most successful figure skaters of all time.
However, come 1994, Witt announced her retirement. She was 29 at the time. After a competitive career in the sports world, she joined the entertainment world. She was seen in the Jerry Maguire movie and the TV series Everybody Loves Raymond. Witt also tried modeling and became a magazine cover girl. Of course, she also led a number of production projects in Germany, starting with Princess on Ice and her own show, Der Feind in meinem Leben.
