A year and a half later, his residence looked like the mottled earth of the Edwardian era: honey-toned planks, oak parquet, and walnut cabinets. The mallets, like an Edwardian pied-à-terre style, located at the end of the entrance hall, are for effect. Now the sofa in the study is pulled out to become the guest’s bed, while the British companion’s table doubles as a dining table.
