ROB LOWE | MONTECITO | $22.5 MILLION

Rob Lowe’s former Montecito home is now for sale for a whopping $22.5 million. Also known as Owenshire, the house has many unique features and amenities— not to mention a gigantic land and living space, which indeed give it a tremendous amount of mortgage. To build the house, Rob Lowe invited architect Don Nulty, interior designer Kyle Irwin, landscape designer Mark Rios, and Feng Shui expert David Cho to incorporate their personal style into a 10,000 square foot house.

It is a 5.5-acre property that Peter Sperling and his wife, Stephanie Sperling, bought initially from Lowe for a much higher price of $25 million in 2005. They had the 1920s house renovated to look like an English country manor, and it was a success. The almost 17,000-square-foot home has seven beds, featuring a country house-style décor, complete with large fireplaces. It also has a workshop of its own, safe room, fur storage, garage, pool, gym, outdoor kitchen, and two guesthouses.
