Barbara Walter made a name in the world of broadcasting. She gained worldwide success for her abilities to interview people that eventually earned her respect and popularity among viewers and her peers. During her colorful career, from 1952 to 2015, Walters hosted a lot of TV programs like Today, The View, 20/20, and the ABC Evening News. Her career now spans over six decades, and still, she showed no sign of slowing down.

However, in 2013, news emerged Walters was planning to retire in 2014. A few months later, the journalist confirmed the story, and her retirement came effective in May 2014. Anyhow, at the time, she continued to be The View’s executive producer. She was only away from the front of the camera, but continuously received credits behind it.
